The latest Weather Watch (March 28) from the Ministry of Agriculture has posted the acreage sown estimates for the rabi crop, putting mustard at 6.62 million hectares, around 8 per cent higher than normal, leading to estimates of a bumper crop of 8.2 million tonnes, the second highest ever.
