MTRS facilitates selection of the best markets amongst all of India’s 7,800 cities and 5,800+ rural blocks. Top retail firms, banks, FMCG, durable and consumer services firms are already using this solution as their key aid for market selection and prioritization at town or rural block levels.
The towns covered in MTRS constitute the entire universe of Indian towns, including towns with greater than 1 lakh population (namely, Metros, Mini metros, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 towns) as well as the smaller towns with less than 1 lakh population. The rural coverage in MTRS includes all the 5,800 rural blocks that house over 600,000 villages in India.
MTRS users are able to identify the affluent urban markets, or choose and prioritize among India’s top 537 towns based on their geographical proximity, location, consumer demography, household sizes by income segments, spending patterns and presence of urban infrastructure. They are also able to identify the affluent rural area around the towns of their choice, or identify rural areas with higher propensity to spend per se.
